Chapter 4: A Promise to wait.

This world has three known realm to the martial cultivator. The upper realm, middle realm and lower realm. Han Xia Yu and Luo Qing Qing are born in the lower realm where supposedly there shouldn’t be any extraordinary genius and at most, the lower realm could bear people who can reach Early Stage Heavenly Martial Warrior after more than fifty years cultivating.

Yet, there are Han Xia Yu and Luo Qing Qing. Han Xia Yu is already an Early stage Heavenly Martial Warrior when she is almost seventeen and Luo Qing Qing supposedly will be the same if she reincarnated.

In a short span of one year, Han Xia Yu always impressed her peers and her teachers. She also has a good character that not too arrogant but not humble either. She will accept praise but she won’t accept the gifts. Only when people insisted did she accepted them however anything that has bribery element, she will reject ruthlessly. She would only rest to eat and to sleep for necessary purpose. She used the other times to do mission for her teacher or used the time to cultivate and brawl in a fight.

People rarely saw her smile but they knew that she will always smile whenever she received letter from her home. Her close friends knew that the addresser is her half-sister namely Luo Qing Qing. They also have half siblings back in their home but none have strong relationship like she and Qing Qing does.

Although she couldn’t return, she would always sent something together with the letter to the girl using her trained Earth Eagle while she also wrote another letter to the Lord Zheng to scold him saying that the letter always got to her late.

The principal took her as his main disciple in three months right after she entered the school which shocked the whole school as it was something that never happens for the past ten years. Becoming his inner disciple is a simple matter but his main disciple is another story furthermore, it hasn’t been more than three months since she first enter the school.

His first and only main disciple was already someone who became known to the Xi Continent as a Godly alchemist. It was said that his main disciple used to have bad talent in making pill but when he graduated under the principal tutelage, the number of people who can challenge him in making pill is less than your finger.

The principal himself doesn’t have talent in making pill but his unique teaching allowed the people to be better at what they are doing.

Han Xia Yu had basic understanding in making pill and crafting weapon even before she enters the academy. She already has a talent so when she was taught by him; it was no exaggeration that she is the richest person in the whole Sheng Kingdom from selling her weapon and pill to the auction.

Even Lord Zheng behaved after learning about her talent from the emperor.

However, people in the Luo family haven’t known of her relationship with the abandoned fourth miss so they are not behaving when she is gone.

Han Xia Yu is planning to return since it has been a year since she entered the academy and she wanted to meet her cute sister as fast as possible. Other students that just entered the academy chose not to leave until they become inner disciple of some teacher so only a few returned to their house after their first year of entering the academy.

She politely bid her goodbye to her close friends, legitimate third miss from Yang house and illegitimate eldest young master from Prime Minister Qin House. She rode her black horse without caring about her image while letting Pan Liu sitting in the carriage to take care of her things.

The Luo family was notified of her return so Lord Zheng prepared to welcome her however, their faces were not good.

They received letter from her saying that she wanted Luo Qing Qing to personally welcome her and to let the whole manor know that her little sister Qing Qing is the best sister she has. However, they couldn’t do as she asked and could only wait for her return, waiting for her judgment.

The sight of her riding the horse and her pulling the rein to stop the horse shocked the crowd. She looked gallant like warrior and unlike gentle lady before she goes to the academy.

When Han Xia Yu didn’t see her little sister, she frowned and her whole face simultaneously darkened. She jump down from the horse and glared the people.

“Where is Qing Qing?” Her tone is cold and chilling the bones of the people.

A beat later, Lord Zheng brazed himself to reply.

“She is in her courtyard… however…”

Before he could finish his word, Han Xia Yu rushed toward the Leaf Courtyard like wind.

Pan Ai bumped against her and the maid immediately cried after recognizing her master. Cai Siyu also got out of the house as soon as she heard Pan Ai mentioning Han Xia Yu and she also got teary even though her eyes visibly swollen from crying.

Her mind couldn’t think of anything aside bad feeling when the two servants cried. Han Xia Yu panicked as she rushed into the house without thinking twice. She saw that unfamiliar physician sitting by the bed and pushed him away. She stood by the bed and widened her eyes.

Her legs fell limp to the floor as her whole body trembled. Her nose and throat tightened as her voice chocked. Tears falling out of her eyes as the pair looking at the girl smiling as she looked at Han Xia Yu.

“Older sister…” the faint voice reached Han Xia Yu.

Han Xia Yu couldn’t hold back from crying anymore.

She hugged Luo Qing Qing and cried as she apologized for leaving her behind. She apologized and begged the girl not to leave her. She begged her not to leave but she knows that it is impossible.

Luo Qing Qing is sickly pale white. Han Xia Yu is also working as physician so she knew that Luo Qing Qing got poison with the sight of her bloody red eyes. If anyone saw her, they might say that she is possessed by demon just like the novel narrated.

Han Xia Yu has no idea how to cure the poison and the novel never explains it either. She thought that leaving Pan Ai and threatening the Lord Zheng will ensure the girl from being poisoned however she finally knew that she is in deeply shit wrong!

Han Xia Yu cried and cried before she finally stopped at a sudden. She took out the girl’s mother diary from the space ring and shows it to her. She can’t do anything to cure her but she hoped that the girl will know that aside of Han Xia Yu, old Lu and Cai Siyu, there is someone out there who loved her dearly.

Luo Qing Qing never cry when she found out that no one can cure the poison in her body but she cried when Han Xia Yu cried for her and she cried even more when she saw Han Xia Yu expression when she was shown the diary of her mother.

Han Xia Yu held back from crying but her eyes reddened and all teary. She also bit her lips to muffle the crying sound. Luo Qing Qing has never seen anyone like her before. Old Lu and Cai Siyu cried but their crying only fill her heart with warmth but Han Xia Yu’s cries made her regret that she couldn’t live anymore.

She also held herself back from crying and read the diary. Only then she found out that her mother is actually living well and someone from her sect is taking care of her when she ran away from Lord Zheng as well as her mother actually not her real mother and Lord Zheng is not her real father. She has a real family awaiting her at the Du Nuo Kingdom and it was the royal Luo family.

Luo Qing Qing never cried so hard before and she finally vents everything from inside of her heart to Han Xia Yu. She said that she also doesn’t want to die and asked Han Xia Yu for help. Han Xia Yu cried and comforted her.

“Qing Qing ah, no matter what, knows that I love you. You are the best sister I have. You are the cutest thing in the world and I don’t want to lose you.”

“Xia older sister, I want to live… I want to live with Xia older sister.”

Han Xia Yu also wanted to vent her heart but she calmed down on the girl behalf. She comforted the girl and said that, “You will live, and you will definitely live. Sister will wait for you forever.”

Luo Qing Qing let go of the hug and smiled at Han Xia Yu. She grinned with all the teeth showing.

“You are the best sister I have too. Xia older sister has promised. You have to wait for me!”

Han Xia Yu voice choked a bit before she also said, “Mm. Of course…”

Luo Qing Qing laid her head on Han Xia Yu’s lap and faintly said.

“Qing Qing will sleep now… Older sister have to wait for Qing Qing…”

Han Xia Yu trembled hand patted the girl’s soft hair and lulled her to sleep with her choked voice. She repeatedly say, “I will wait for you. Will wait…”

She also faintly said, “The people who harm you… I will not let any of them die without feeling regret of living and not one of them will be able to leave unscathed.”

Her other hand was holding the small hand and it fell from her grip. Luo Qing Qing took her final breath and died with a bitter smile plastered on her face.

She regretted it… Why did she left her behind when she knows that there still someone who want to harm her? She shouldn’t have leave even if it was to offend the whole kingdom or the whole world even. She shouldn’t have leave!

Tears are flowing out of her eyes without stopping.

The physician left without even checking the fourth miss pulse as he is smarter to know not to offend the second miss by touching the fourth miss dead body. Without even checking, he knew that the fourth miss is no longer in this world. He reported it to Lord Zheng and to his surprise; the man that is known for not knowing fear even in front of the emperor is currently trembling in fear.

The Leaf Courtyard was filled with crying sounds while the main courtyard is not any better as Lord Zheng was finding fault with everyone as he investigate the fourth miss death. The culprit is shivering in fear as she doesn’t realize that the fourth miss is actually favored by the second miss that even the emperor revered. No matter what, the culprit won’t admit.

Lord Zheng was even more furious when the culprit won’t show himself. If this is how the thing goes, he feared that the second miss will turn the whole manor upside down from rage. He had heard from the servants and the physician about how the second miss won’t stop crying ever since she saw the fourth miss and even after the fourth miss is dead, the second miss won’t let go of the body by glaring and threatened everyone that no one is allowed to touch the fourth miss.

She has promised to wait for the girl so she will wait.

Her action is telling Lord Zheng that she has become a bit crazy. A smart and capable person becoming crazy is not a good thing. Lord Zheng truly feared of what will happen when she has calm down.
